This morning excursion is to visit the beautiful Mae Sa Valley, 30 minutes to the northwest of Chiang Mai city. This tour provides an escape from city on a half-day outing. The best part of this tour is a stop at the Mae Sa Elephant Camp, which is located on the banks of a small river, where the elephant show is given daily. The show includes Musical Talent Show and Dancing, working in the jungle, dragging and pushing logs, and responding commands.
Afterwards, visit the Orchid Nursery to see a large collection of more than 50 different types of colorful exotic year-round-bloom orchids. It gives the opportunity for visitors to admire the beauty of ''the Queen of Forest''. |

Wat Suan Dok where a piece of the holy relics was enshrined. See numerous big and small white Chedi located on the west of the main viharn. These Chedis contain the remains of the former royal family of chiangmai
Wat Phra Sing, built by King Pha Yu to house the bones of his father King Kam Fu. The temple contains marvelous examples of Lanna art including a Lanna style viharn, "Viharn Lai Kham" and the finest small scripture repository of its type in the north, "Ho Trai".
The most vital temple in Chiang Mai "Wat Chedi Luang" where the great chedi called "Phra Chedi Luang" is situated. This five hundred-year-old chedi was built by King Saen Muang Ma to enshrine the relics of his father at the end of 14th century. Eventhough it was destroyed in an earthquake in 1545, it was to remain the tallest structure in Chiang Mai for over five centuries.
Wat Chiang Man is Chiang Mai's oldest temple and probably dates from 1296. The temple was the residence of King Mengrai, who founded Chiang Mai, and is noteworthy for a chedi supported by rows of elephantine buttresses, and a small ancient Buddha image, Phra Kaeow Khaow.
Then, we drive around the Old City to see city's moats and ruined city's walls. Visit the largest central mar ket called "Warorot Market" (Kat Luang) where you can buy local products at a reasonable prices. |

Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, perched high on the flank of Suthep Mountain, 1,022 m (3,000ft) above sea level, is Chiang Mai's most famous temple. The pagoda in its centre contains some of the relics of the Lord Buddha. The temple is visited throughout the year by thousands of tourists and Buddhist pilgrims from all over the world.
